Some WIPs before the baby storm

I love Noro yarn!  These mitts will be awesome!
Poor kitteh, will you ever get finished?
What I really want to spin this month unless baby has other plans in store for me!

In Stitches Trip

I used my groupon to In Stitches last week!  I put it towards  purchasing some Noro yarn.  Oh.  My.  Goodness.  I LOVE IT!

These 3 skeins are going to eventually become a sweater pattern that I saw in one of those Noro books.  I wish I could get a better picture to show on here but it will be an awesome finished product.  I'm not a fan of the pattern name but it's referred to as YS506 and the designer is Junko Isaji.  I'm want to begin this sweater some time in the fall when I hope to be a bit more confident in making a garment.

It also looks as if I'm shawl bound starting tomorrow.  Thanks to my most loyal peeps for voting!

Vogue

In the last Lion Brand swap, my partner gave me an old issue of Vogue Knitting International from winter 2004/2005.  Over the last few days I've been drooling over some of the patterns in this issue.  I like the patterns so much that my beginner knitter self was like, I can do that one and that one and that one...

My favorite is a vest made out of Noro yarn.  It's a pretty sweet colorway and it looks like I could handle this project as a newbie.  I used to be an avid reader of Vogue even though I don't really consider myself super fashionable but I felt like I was after reading an issue.  Vogue Knitting is cool because if you like what the model is wearing in the photo shoot, there's the pattern and you can make it!  So awesome.

7 days 'til Tivoli!!
