Handmades for Hazel #8

One last gift to share on this blog. One of my favorite of the blankets for sure!
Made for Hazel by one of my fellow co-workers at school.

Handmades for Hazel #7

Gretchen, my awesome knitter friend made this cute little hat. Currently it's in the hospital bag ready to be worn home by Hazel. I really love the brown ribbon bordering the edge; it really pulls the look together.
This is a close up of the buttons that Gretchen used for Hazel's sweater.
Isn't this the hippest sweater ever? Hazel is going to look so cool wearing this... and what's even better is that Gretchen has another sweater in the works for Hazel! Whoohoo! I'm dying to see how it turns out!

Handmades for Hazel #6

My dad's aunt Shari quilted this cute little blanket for Hazel.

I like how she added the French for me - being a French teacher and all.

Handmades for Hazel #5

Another crocheted blanket but this one is from Michael's uncle's girlfriend.
I love the stitch pattern and I like how it's not too big. It's definitely baby-sized!

Handmades for Hazel #4

More pink! This little sweater and bonnet set was made by Michael's great Aunt Kate back in the day and it got passed on to us for Hazel. It's all crocheted and it looks like a small needle was used because the detail on the bonnet and collar of the sweater is very intricate.

Handmades for Hazel #3

This was tucked in a gift bag from one of my 9th graders with some other cute baby things. She didn't tell me who made it, which was a bummer. She's a shy little thing so the less talking she does, she feels, the better. This cute little bonnet and sweater is knit but the top part of the sweater had me fooled into thinking it was crocheted.

Handmades for Hazel #2

Hazel's name in popcorn stitches surrounded by hearts.
My favorite student's mom whipped this up for me along with the little pillow to match. The blanket has a nice ruffle edge as well. Very cute!

Handmades for Hazel #1

These little booties kill me.
No, wait, it's the little shorts.
Made for Hazel by my student's grandmother. How thoughtful!
