#7 again

Hazel Jean at a little over 5 months old wearing the sweater Gretchen made her back in this post.
Hazel needed a little help sitting up so, my hand is covering the cool buttons.
Love it!

Slouchy Hat for Ree

My beautiful sister modeling her slouchy hat.
A view of the hat from the back.  I used Patons wool in grey color way.  This was a super easy pattern which you can find here.

Casting on...revisited

I think I agree with a fellow youtube watcher when I say, "Thank you random lady!"

I've just been practicing this and I have about 30 or so stitches on my foundation... now on to garter stitch, I think?  So nervous!

Another cowl

I made another cowl using this pattern from a fellow blogger.  I used Lion Brand Fishermen's wool to make this and I added two little flowers instead of one.  I really enjoyed the stitch pattern but it looks pretty wonky where I had to slip stitch in the back.  I'm hoping it will just make it lay better on my shoulders.  Michael gave me an idea of making another one but as a skirt over jeans kinda deal.  I may follow up on that piece of advice but rather than slip stitching the back, I'd probably use buttons so that the yarn doesn't get all stretched out and lose its shape.

Baby it's cold!

Thought I'd warm up my hands with these mohair blend hand warmers.  I got the pattern from a fellow blogger here.  I improvised the "flower" to the point where it's more of a geometric shape rather than a blossom.  I also modified the pattern a bit so there's no scalloped edging and it's rather obvious where the seam is - yes, I meant to do that!

Used up mohair

I had this ball of mohair hanging around from Patons I think.  Anywho, I just whipped up a double crocheted scarf out of it.  It's a little uneven due to using the ball till it was finished but it's hard to tell when you wrap it around yourself a bunch of times.  This scarf was like wearing a winter coat; very cozy, soft and warm.  It tickles the nose a little bit though!
