This Corriedale fiber from Salt City Fiber Works was spun up for the month of November and I was able to get 150 yards in a fingering weight at a single ply. I spun most of the fiber while trying out a Kromski Sonata and then finished up the last half an ounce on my spindle. I am very pleased with how it turned out and spinning on the Sonata was awesome! I kept squealing and stopping to see how it looked on the bobbin and ohh-ing and ahh-ing while at spin night. As soon as I get a little extra cash, the Sonata will be coming home with me! Much love and thanks to Angela for helping me put it together and getting started!
The next few skeins came from Pear Tree Farms and I'm sure that in the bag there was definitely more than four ounces kicking around in there and I came up with the above and below skeins. Above was mostly orange with a few strands of yellow clocking in at 20 yards in a fingering weight.
This skein's information is as follows: 88 yards - worsted weight - 2 ply. I didn't realize I was representin' the 'Cuse with this color combination but I am pleased with it all the same.
88 yards - blue/yellow - dk - 2 ply
And speaking of fiber, I have 4 more ounces to spin up before the end of the year and then I will have completed my goal of spinning 4 ounces a month! Woot, woot! This is what I'm thinking will be my December fiber:
I'm still chugging away on my Christmas crafting. I finished the last of my monsters and have three more gifts to go! All gifts will be revealed once they've been opened by their owners! I hope all of you are making progress and enjoying the holiday season too!
