Crochet Flashback #3

I found some more holiday crochet goodies that my grandma whipped up at some point. Yeah, I know doilies are so old farty but you can't deny some super talent by looking at these. I put them out every Christmas to represent the past craftiness of my Grandma Polifroni.
I'm not sure if I'm at the point where I would have the patience to crochet something like this considering that I had to put a scalloped cowl on hold because my shells weren't lining up correctly.
I used to have a nice green doily from Grandma Polifroni but for some reason I can't find it anywhere and I've been looking for about two years. It was made almost like the one above. I can't imagine the patience, time and effort that has gone into something like this. The detail is incredible and the hook size must've been tiny!

  1. These are really pretty! I can't believe how delicate they are, when you look at them close-up. You come from a crafty family, Cheese!
