    FYI - in terms of the book marker, it should be pretty easy to fashion one in crochet (basically, a big triangle, then stitch up the longest side to create the point). However, I feel it's important to support good design (and of course, the designers), so I bought the pattern. C'est la vie, n'est-ce pas?
